VJ Beachem is long  and of the Trevor Ariza mold of SFs. He's got good form and is shooting 38% from 3. He's a good athlete with NBA range. Defensively he contests jumpers and gives effort for the most part. Beachem is definitely a 3 and D guy. 

 

He's pretty limited off the dribble. He'll bail you out and shoot a tough contested mid range jumper. His 3pt percentage is good but he's very streaky and him staying/ playing is going to depend largely on if he can be consistent. Defensively he's hot/cold as far as effort. Sometimes he closes out on shooters too slowly. Against Duke in the ACC tournament, he guarded Tatum for only two possessions. Is that an indication of his defense? ( He did a great job on Grayson Allen.)
