WEAKNESSES

OFFENSE

*Excellent height and length for a center

*Very thin and his frame doesn’t seem conducive to bulking up.

*Will have to add weight over time and adjust

*A good athlete who moves smoothly in space

*Very coordinated for a young 7 footer

*Runs the floor hard and fills the lane correctly

*Has the hands to catch passes in traffic and finish lobs

*Good touch on his below the rim finishes around the rim

*Able to find the soft spot in the defense as it shifts to make himself available for the pass

*Makes contact when he sets screens, but doesn’t set hard screens

*Could be a dangerous PNR roll man

*Jumper needs some work but is workable, has a high release point

*Shows flashes of being a good interior, big-to-big passer and a solid passer overall

DEFENSE

*Great defensive potential

*His length will alter or deter a lot of shots but relies on it too much

*Has good timing on his block attempts, but will chase them a little

*Seems to be most effective as weakside shotblocker but has shown some chasedown ability in transition and playing tall in the post

*Takes up good help positioning for a rim protector but might be sacrificing some of his effectiveness on the closeout

*Has shown he can show high on a PNR and get back to his man

*Can stay on the hip of wings on the perimeter and still contest their shot at the rim when beat

*Can be pushed around due to his lack of strength

*Relies mostly on his length on the boards but shows good pursuit of the ball

Jonathan Jeanne is a long rim protector with a lot of upside. He's athletic and though he's not very strong, he's not afraid to mix it up. He runs the floor very well. He's got good mechanics on his jump shot.

Jeanne is 210 lbs of bones right now and needs time to physically mature. He's not playing a ton in Europe right now he's got some boom/bust about him. He challenges a lot of shots but he has to stop swinging violently for layups.
