OFFENSE
*A little short for an NBA center but has good strength and exceptional length
*Big hands which help him catch passes on the move or above the rim on lobs
*Very athletic. Explosive leaper
*Gets off the ground quickly and has a quick 2nd jump
*Moves very well. Runs the break hard, filling the lane with his hands up
*Able to cut around the basket to get easy shots, hit or miss on attempts that aren’t dunks
*Shows flashes of having a soft touch around the rim but very inconsistent
*Aggressive offensive rebounder, able to track down rebounds out of his zone
*Capable of powerful tip dunks but is average on tip ins
*Needs to work on his timing/footwork in the high PNR
*Despite flaws in his technique, he can be a devastating rim roller capable of catching lobs
*Rudimentary ball skills away from the rim
*Jumpshot needs a lot of work
*Creates a strong base when establishing post position
*Occasionally shows a soft jump hook and some basic post footwork
*Not much of a passer
DEFENSE
*Moves his feet very well in space
*Has the quickness to hedge but likes to sink on the PNR
*Late to the PNP man
*Takes an extra step towards the rim off ball and can be a half beat late recognizing his rotations
*Works hard to closeout and covers ground quickly once he gets moving
*Adjusts well when a player attacks the closeout, sticks with the play
*Can get him off the ground with a good ball fake
*Forces players to alter their shots at the rim
*Good pursuit of defensive rebounds after a contest
*Works hard to keep his man from establishing deep post position
*Hard to move in post defense
*Uses his length very well to contest post attempts
*Can reach over instead of standing tall
*Foul prone
KHAIRI AKILI - MARCH 1, 2017

Ike Anibogu is a project. He's got a big body and motor that translates well to today's NBA and he loves to run the floor in UCLA's uptempo offense. He reminds me a lot of Tristan Thompson.
His touch around the basket is erratic. One play he'll wow you with a left handed jump hook and then next he'll shoot an air ball. And he's a 50% foul shooter. Calling him extremely raw might be an understatement. He's playing about 13 mpg in an uptempo offense, but is he a great rebounder?
