Hamidou Diallo is an athletic 2 guard with some upside. He was a consensus top 20 guard coming out of high school that decided to enroll at Kentucky early. I got a chance to see him in person going into his junior year. He's pretty good in transition and plays well above the rim. He's got a mean streak to his game, which I like. The mechanics on his jump shot are pretty solid 

 

Right now, I don't know how Diallo scores in a NBA game unless it's in transition. He doesn't have the strength yet and his overall game is really raw. Even during the FIBA U18 games, he did the lions share of his scoring on uncontested breaks. He missed the majority of the jump shots he took badly. He's got a ways to go before he's ready to contribute.
